Swaps Book

Happy Monday everyone!!! Today's post is showing an Altered notebook titled swaps made for the Pay it Forward thread on the Cricut Messageboard. I also participated in the Collectors Cut blog to use my cricut cartridges more! My cartridge pulled for the week is Heritage. I used the font cut at 1 inch, shift and shadowed. I then took glossy accents and went over the top of the letters to make them pop and shiny. I am pretty happy with the end result. Let me know what you think!

Have a great week!

My daughter is jumping rope for heart

Hello! I know this isnt a crafting post- but I do want to ask a favor of all of my crafty friends! My daughter is jumping rope for heart at her school, and we are looking for some donations. It'd be great if you all would be able to help! Her school earns money towards Physical Education equipment.

Her site is below:

Even $5 is a great gesture! Thanks so much!

Happy Birthday Card for Nathan

Here is a card I made for my brother for his birthday. Hopefully he doesnt see this, as he hasnt gotten his card yet! It will be mailed today...

I used the Tim Holtz Patchwork embossing folder. Did lots of distressing, added some sheer ribbon, a heat embossed Happy Birthday Sentiment using part of a SU stamp. I used a Tim Holtz Trinket pin that says Treasure on it. I really like those pins. I need to get myself some more of them. This card was simple- but only becaue I didnt know what else to add for a man.

Happy Birthday Nathan!

Please let me know what you think! I love comments!

M address book page

I was in an address book page swap a few years back and some of the pages got mangled in transit or were falling apart, so I had to redo them. Here is the first page I redid- the letter M. I participated in the collectors cut challenge and pulled Songbird font Cartridge and Cindy Loo cartridge. I had fun with this page. I used Viva Decor Pearl pen to add the black pearly accents. I had some Basic Grey sticker cardstock pages in my stash, so I peeled a few that I thought would match. I cut the M at shift shadow in 4 inches, and the green M shift at 4 inches. I used a filligree cut from Cindy Loo and did Shadow and 2 layers cut at 3 inches. Cardstock used was Stampin Up, DCWV, Basic Grey and Bazzil. I used a SU punch to make the tab. I had some extra stickers in my stash to put the M label on the tab. I hope you like how it turned out, like I do!

Strawberry Birthday Card

Today's post is a card I made for my mother for her birthday. I have been wanting to use that cute strawberry from Indie Art, and found the perfect way to use it! I like to use the Mojo Monday Blog for ideas and some mojo. They never fail on giving me the mojo I need! :) Below is the picture of the sketch, and the photos of the card I made. HERE is the link to the post.

I used an SU punch and a computer generated sentiment on the front. The copper dots are Viva Decor Pearl Pen. Stampin Up! Hemp Twine was used in place of ribbon. I also used the Stampin Up top note die to make the beautiful light brown shape on the base. Used stickles to decorate the strawberry- but before that I ran it through my Sizzix Big Kick and the swiss dots embossing folder to emboss the strawberry. I also chalked the edges with Dark Brown Cat's Eye Chalk Ink! Please let me know what you think! Thanks! :)

Enjoy the good Times Layout

Hello Everyone! Happy Wednesday!!! I hope you are all having a fabulous week! I am doing pretty good. Got two of eight birthday cards made for the coming birthdays. I am seeing some more scrapbooking in my near future! (Along with finishing those cards OF COURSE!) Today's post is to show you a layout of my daughter and I before I left Alaska to care for my grandmother in Wisconsin. She stayed with her dad for about 4 months. It was the hardest thing I've ever done! This layout was showing one of our bonding moments before I left. I'll treasure these photos forever. Cassie is 3 years old in this layout. I used K&Co. Cardstock for the background, and Soft Spoken stickers as the embellishments, along with some bling. The journal tags were made using a Stampin' Up! punch. Its one of my favorites BY FAR!

Thanks so much for looking! I love seeing comments on what you think! Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Autumn Bliss Layout

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you all enjoyed Martin Luther King Jr. Day! I know some had off of school or work. Did you? Here in Wisconsin we got more snow. I'm glad we did, because I need to get a few pictures of my babies playing in the snow, for their scrapbooks!

Today's layout is not created by me- just pictures with my children. My friend Kimi thought I should show you all. She is the creator of this beautiful layout. Check out her BLOG. She always does stunning work, and proud to own one of her creations! Thanks for looking!

Little Miss ATTITUDE

HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I spent mine with my family. I also enjoyed watching the Packer game! I am happy they are one step closer to the Super Bowl. Today I am showing you a layout I made for my youngest daughter Brittany's scrapbook. I used the Alphalicious cartridge for the title. The letters were cut at 2 3/4 inches in shadow and regular font. The flourish was cut from an accucut at my old LSS. I used Blue Viva Decor pearl pen for the accents on the prismacolored digi girl. She is a Mo Manning digi. Isn't she so cute??? I had to use her for this layout. It fit perfectly. The journaling section is also a free digi, but I forgot where I got it from. (sorry!)

I hope you all enjoyed my layout! I will be posting more this week- I have made quite a few this weekend, and am DETERMINED to get caught up with my childrens scrapbooks this year! I am several years behind. Please let me know what you think!

Thank You Card

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful week! I made this Thank You card last night, and really love this little girl! I got this image from a crafting  buddy of mine, Teri. Thanks so much Teri! I hope I did her justice! :) I used smaller notecard base to make this card. I used spellbinders nestabilities to cut the scalloped circle. I then embossed that scalloped circle using the Divine Swirl embossing folder. I colored this little girl using prismacolor pencils using the gamsol technique. I added some sheer ribbon, punched from my SU punch, and stamped sentiment with my SU stamp set, Smooch Spritz for shimmer, some bling, and inked the edges with Timber Brown Staz-On ink. I used Viva Decor Blue pearl pen to add a little oomph to the sentiment. Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think!

Have a great day!

Manly Sympathy Card

Hello everyone! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a great weekend! If I werent fighting this nasty cold and lack of voice I'd be able to do a video for you all! Hopefully soon!
Today I'd like to show you a manly sympathy card I made for my husbands boss. His father died over the holidays. My husband asked me to make one for him and his co-workers. This card has alot of Tim Holtz elements to it. Sympathy cards are hard to make, but manly cards are even harder to make. I went with the "time will heal all" feel, which is the reason for the clocks and such. Please let me know what you think! Thank you and have a fabulous Tuesday!
